GERMANY (Mainz) - As of 1. February 2009, Frank Schulz, 40 years old, is director of the communications branch at the German Wine Institute (DWI) in Mainz. He will take over international communication as well as the new department online- and domestic communications, which has been moved to this branch like the department advertising and market research.
Schulz, who grew up in the United States as well as in Britain, had been working for many years as main editor for the Zweite Deutsche Fernsehen (ZDF - German tv channel) in the main editing department New Media after completing his degree in law-, language- and communication science. For a couple of years he was director of enterprise information and digital channels on the internet and worked for the economic department of the news portal heute.de and ZDFtext.
As a grandson of a vintager from Rhineland-Palatinate, Frank Schulz has a connection to domestic wine: "I am very happy that I can contribute to increasing the national and international appreciation of our wines. I feel more complete now that I work for the DWI." (aw.yoopress)
