Nice vote: Ulrike Lenhardt – New chairwoman at Vinissima

The 45-year-old Ulrike Lenhardt has been with Vinissima since 2004, she was also a very important part of the foundation of the local group Rhinegau. On her side will be her representative Siddika Michiels, wine saleswoman from Mönchengladbach. Evelyne Jenne from the Baden Ebringen was named the new treasurer. Eva Raps, director of the VDP was named Secretary and the advisory council consists of Astrid Schales (Rhinehesse), Susanne Bürkle (Hesse Bergstrasse) and Annette Köwerich (Moselle).

Ulrike Lenhardt can now prepare herself for an anniversary. Vinissima was founded in 1991 by only seven wine women at the Kaiserstuhl simply because they felt that women were not represented enough in the wine industry and that they could use their own mouthpiece. Today, the association with more than 340 members (all of them women) is organized nationwide in branches of science, restaurant business and journalism and it has international contact with other women-organizations. New members are only accepted on a personal recommendation level. (r.knoll)
