These open house programs are already well-established. A press release promised "lots of expert advice". Everybody can inform oneself of the work at the Geisenheim campus including the relevant areas viticulture, fruit-growing and horticulture as well as landscape architecture, international wine business and beverage technology. Professional advice is also provided in the respective fields.
Visitors can attend audition lectures, panels and expert´s forums. Guided and unguided tours of the labs, green houses and the cellar of the research institute are also being offered. You can take a look at the rich diversity of fruits, vegetables, decorative plants and grapevines on the open land area. You can also look at innovations and new cultivation techniques available in these fields. There will also be experts on the lots and in the labs who will answer your questions.
The first nationwide postgraduate program at a University of Applied Sciences presents its work. Research focuses on how plants and microorganisms respond to environmental stress.
In addition, there will be a family day on Sunday. Guided tours, activities and information in various areas of study will particularly be offered for children. The Children´s University sheds light upon the following questions: How does the sugar come into grape? How wild are yeasts?
There will also be another highlight: The German weather service is going to celebrate its 125th anniversary at this weekend and will come up with many surprises. Cafés, barbeque and wine stands will be offering culinary treats for visitors on both days. (red.yoopress)
