GERMANY (Berlin) - The first Riesling Lounge was opened on January 13 in the mesa-restaurant of the Grand Hyatt Berlin at the Marlene-Dietrich center. The lounge was an idea by the German Wine Institute and it offers a huge selection of wines from all thirteen German wine-growing regions. Besides top Riesling wines there are also numerous excellent Pinot Noir wines and red wine cuvées available.

"We want to attract the attention of wine lovers to Riesling wines with this new lounge and we want them to see what it is like to feel completely relaxed and comfortable while they enjoy our wines in a nice atmosphere", explains DWI director Monika Reule and she adds: "We are happy to be present here in the capital, after already opening up in Munich and Cologne".

For Heddo Siebs, the hotel manager of Grand Hyatt Berlin, the Riesling Lounge is an excellent addition to the restaurant concept of his business: "With our range of wines we are combining restaurant feeling with winery atmosphere. We serve delicious German meals with our wines at the lounge and the Riesling wine selection is simply perfect for all the meals that we offer. We regularly invite German vintners who present their wines first hand to our customers. (red.yoopress)
