The quality of trade visitors from home and abroad was in particular praised, so that the ProWein was able to fully live up to its reputation as trade fair and international leading fair. This year, particular attention was paid to the highly anticipated wines of the 2010 vintage, whose quality was judged by ... to be very positively.
From March 27th to 29th more than 3,600 exhibitors from 50 countries were present in Düsseldorf. With over 38,000 trade visitors from the trade and food service sector of all major European markets as well as from North America and Asia, ProWein 2011 recorded an increase in visitor numbers of 5 percent, according to statements made by the fair. Particularly pleasing was the significant increase in the number of international visitors.
The organizers registered increased interest particularly from Great Britain, Scandinavia, the USA and Canada and from Eastern Europe - mainly Russia, the Czech Republic and the Baltic States. More visitors from Asia came to Düsseldorf, in addition China, notably Thailand and Hong Kong should be mentioned in this respect. The high proportion of visitors with decision-making powers once again set standards: More than 80 percent are directly involved in purchasing decisions.
To provide the industry with the greatest possible planning security, the dates for ProWein 2012 and 2013 have already been set: ProWein 2012: March 4th to 6th, ProWein 2013: March 24th to 26th. (red.yoopress)
