Prices for German Rieslings will increase

GERMANY (Mainz) – Due to the poor 2013 yield, the prices for German Rieslings will increase in 2014. According to estimations of the Deutsche Wein Institut (DWI, German Wine Institute), the total production of Riesling is expected to be 8.3 million hectoliters. This value is slightly below the previous estimations but eight percent below the 2012 value and about 10 percent below the 10-year average.
