Who will be the next Franken Wine Queen on March 11th?

The candidates won’t make it too easy for the jury. This year, guests cannot only expect a sweeping competition, but also candidates who are well prepared and highly motivated. Last time, many competitors applied for the office of wine queen in Volkach in 2003. The institution of the Franken wine queen has been around for 60 years!

The following eight weeks are filled with tours, seminars and trainings. The candidates will also come into contact with the media. After all, they have been active for Franken wine for quite some time now. All six of them have been wine queens of their hometowns. Giving interviews in front of cameras or welcoming large groups should not pose a problem for them!

“We wish all participants a pleasant and successful time – but ultimately, only one candidate can become the 55th Franken wine queen!” says Hermann Schmitt, managing director of the Gebietsweinwerbung Frankenwein-Frankenland GmbH. The predecessor of the current Franken wine queen, Anna Saum, can most certainly expect an exciting year filled with various jobs on behalf of Franken wine.
