The competition offers winemakers and importers the opportunity to have the quality and class of their wines graded by a top jury. In blind tastings, international wine experts grade the best wines per category. The guideline used in the jury is the 100-point-system of the International Organization for Vine and Wine (OIV),
The number of winning wines is restricted to 30 percent of the participating products. There are big gold, gold and silver prizes and special prizes in the following categories: wine of the year with the best residual sweetness, best sweet wine and liqueur of the year, best bubbly of the year, best bubbly in the LEH as well as in the subcategory Germany, Europe and oversees the prizes for producer of the year, best dry white wine of the year, best dry red wine of the year, best dry red wine in the LEH, best dry white wine in the LEH. The medals as well as special awards can be included in the bottle label and they are a significant marketing advantage.
Participating wines should be still wines, bubblies, brisk and liqueur wines. The deadline is June 24, 2011 and the participating fee is 140.00 Euro per sample. (red.yoopress)
About MUNDUS VINI: MUNDUS VINI is one of the largest officially recognized international wine competitions on behalf of the Union Internationale des Oenologues (UIOE) for wines from all growing regions in the world. It was founded in 2001 by the wine academy MUNDUS VINI, a subsidiary of the MEININGER VERLAG in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse. Ever since then it has been an annual event.
