GERMANY (Berlin) - The German Viniculture Association is scheduling a Political Viniculture Congress for the 4th June 2008, in the context of the public part of its annual general meeting. Subject of discussion will be how to implement the wine market reform.

The Congress will take all day long at the Haus der Landwirtschaft und Ernährung in Berlin. You can download the program sheet here. Participation is free.

Advisors from Germany, France, Italy, Austria and Hungary are going to present the plans for introducing the national subsidy programs.

Secretary Horst Seehofer will talk about the consequences of the reform of the European wine market-organization and Secretary for the prevention of drug use, Sabine Bätzing, will discuss plans about a national alcohol policy.

At the occasion of the Congress, the President of the German Viniculture Association, Norbert Weber, will report about the state of viniculture after the Brussel wine market reform. (red.yoopress)
