By holding the conference, the Meininger Verlag, one of Germany’s oldest publishing houses, is extending its innovative range of advanced professional events for the wine industry. “We want to encourage winegrowers and wineries to sometimes tread unusual paths to protect and expand their economic success,” explains Christoph Meininger, managing director of the Meininger Verlag. “The acquisition of the patronship by Hendrik Hering, Minister for Economics, underlines the importance of the economic force of wine tourism and has also encouraged us in making our cause.”
As part of the conference program, which has been compiled by the editorial “German Viticulture”, issues such as organic wine, tourism, vino-spa and wine architecture will be discussed. In addition to theoretical half tips and suggestions that can be implemented in the everyday life of wineries, and successful case studies from Germany and abroad, participants receive valuable advice on funding models and funding opportunities.”
“We would like to give participants an understanding of the issue in an entertaining way by offering various kinds of presentations such as key note lectures, interviews and more detailed presentations,” emphasizes Werner Bader of the editorial of “Der Deutsche Weinbau”, who will be hosting the conference together with wine tourism expert and former German Wine Queen Evelyn Schmidt.
