"Tackling instead of waiting" – MUNDUSvini Wine-Tourism-Conference

GERMANY (Neustadt / Weinstrasse) – “Tackling instead of waiting” is the theme at the first MUNDUSvini Wine Tourism Conference on February 2nd and 3rd 2011 in Neustadt/ Weinstrasse (we reported). A number of renowned national and international experts from the wine and tourism industry have been announced for the Congress, which is under the patronage of the Rhineland-Palatinate’s Minister for Economy and Viticulture Hendrik Hering. They will report on current trends, projects and visions on the subject of wine tourism.

Salvatore Ricciardi, export manager of the Mezzacorona wine cooperative, will give an insight into the corporate strategy of the cooperative, in which tourism has been playing an essential role for a long time,  under the provocative title “Trentino: Always ready?”. Situated in one of the most popular holiday regions of Italy, it offers visits at almost any time of day, and thus, generates a steadily growing share of sales through direct selling.

Hannes Weitschacher, managing director of the Weinviertel Tourismus GmbH, will report about details of the popular wine tourism industry in Lower Austria.

Even well-known German winemakers, including Roman Niewodniczanski (Van Volxem winery, Wiltlingen), Christian Ress (Balthasar Ress winery, Hattenheim), Dirk Würtz (Königsmühle winery, Gau-Odernheim) and Andreas Barth (Lubentiushof, Niederfell), who addition to his own business also manages the estate of Günther Jauch (Othegraven winery, Kanzem) will give an insight into their individual strategies.
