John Belsham, owner of a winery in New Zealand, will be there South Africa will be represented by Paul Cluver, owner of a winery, and Walter Schug, an ethnic German, represents California. Well-known vintners from Switzerland, Austria, France and, of course, from Germany are looking forward to a lively exchange of ideas with colleagues and customers.
During the competitive exhibition on Sunday, Feburary 26, 2012, over 50 different Pinot Noirs will be able to be tasted. The wines will be tasted in mouth-blown glasses out of the series “The First” from the Zwiesel Kristallglas company. “In those wafer-thin glasses, the aromas and the tasty impression of a Pinot Noir can unfold best”, Alexander Kohnen from the International Wine Institute says.
The team of the Dorint Park Hotel is offering small regional dishes and an brunch buffet for all guests at a special price, and during the competitive exhibition, Gerolsteiner mineral water is available for free.
Every hour, different wine seminars and workshops are going to be offered. The speakers come from Germany and Switzerland. Seminar topics are, for instance: “Appellations of the terroirs of Côte de Nuits”, “Glass and aromas”, “Ripe German Pinot Noirs”, “Fascinating Ahr valley” and “Moderate wine drinking will keep you fit”. In the price of 45 euro per capita, all seminars are included, the number of participants is limited to 25 for each seminar and each workshop. (red.yoopress)
