Italy´s top winemakers at Roadshow in Germany

Top Italian Wines Roadshow in HamburgGambero Rosso - the leading Italian publishing house for food & beverages - invites to an exclusive wine tasting: The 57 participating top Italian winemakers, from Marchesi Antinori, Planeta and Ruffino to Casa Vinicola Zonin, offer a selection of their wines.

The tasting will take place at 11:00 on Wednesday, 13th March at the Hotel Atlantic in Hamburg for trade visitors and the press; the event is also open to wine enthusiasts from 16:00 on. The event ends at 18:00, admission is free.

Furthermore, wine enthusiasts will have the chance to taste 20 selected wines from 20 producers in additional seminars. The seminars are hosted by the renowned expert Daniele Cernili, publisher and editor in chief of the "Gambero Rosso" wine magazine, Marco Sabellico, co-publisher of the wine magazine and by the renowned wine book author Beat Koelliker.

The seminars take place from 12:00-13:00 (seminar 1), from 14:00 - 15:00 (seminar 2) and from 16:00 - 17:00 (seminar 3) at the "Hotel Atlantic". Seats are limited. Boutique Italien Wineries in Frankfurt

The question, however, is why an Italian publishing house provides a presentation of Italian wines in Germany with an American title, but let us be silent about it and enjoy.

With thirty selected wine producers from 12 Italian regions, with an annual production of 250,000 bottles at most, Gambero Rosso is leading the series of events in Germany with its Boutique Italian Wineries Tour 2009. A special selection of these 30 producers will be offered for tasting in Frankfurt.

The event takes place from 13:00 - 19:00 on 18th Mai at the "Le Méridien Parkhotel" in Frankfurt. Furthermore, cookery demonstrations with Patrik Rucolo, chef at the RAI- SAT Gambero Rosso Channel, the popular Italian TV channel for oeno- gastronomic topics, will be offered. He will be preparing the following pasta dishes which visitors can taste after the presentation: Fusili al pesto alla Genovese, Rigatoni cacao e pepe, Penne alla siciliana.
