VieVinum - Austria's most important wine fair with international guests

AUSTRIA (Vienna) - Every two years,  more than 500 vintagers are present at the Winer Hofburg; this year from the 31 May to 2 June. This makes the VieVinum very special, as the stage for Austria's wine world in terms of its image, but also for the economic development of the wine industry there.

The interest in the wine-country Austria from people inside as well as outside Europe has increased considerably since the 1980s. This is why the VieVinum, as a large-scale wine fair für the Austrian wine scene, was a result of this development. The VieVinum fair has been known as the institution of national, but also increasingly international wine fair since it first took place 1998. It offers all wine-lovers and experts a wide range of wines of different origins, interesting types of vine as well as new styles and trends.

The fact that the vintagers will be there in person, provides for interesting discussions, new experiences and insights as well as authentic information at the occasion of tasting a wide range of wines. But you can also chat with wine friends and expert colleagues.

In the past decade Austria has managed to be among the top  international wine producers. "Crucial here for is the high quality of the wines of our vintagers and the individual and professional help of the experts present", Mag. Willi Klinger, CEO of the Austrian wine marketing company (ÖWM) says convincingly. "With such events we can considerably intensify the emotional relation to the wine country Austria", Klinger adds.

The ÖWM is supporting the VieVinum this year as well and invites more than 550 Opinion Leaders from specialized trading, wine press and gastronomy from 34 countries to Austria. Among these alone are 150 international expert journalists who have announced that they are coming to the fair. (aw.yoopress)
