GERMANY (Munich) - The anniversary celebration of FORUM VINI is over. 9580 guests celebrated the 25th birthday of the International Wine Fair in Munich between November 13 and 15. Already on Friday, numerous wine lovers arrived at the M.O.C. center. The high storm of people on Saturday almost traditionally caused full halls and Sunday was a very nice fair finale for the 255 exhibitioners.

"Just like in the past years, visitors were in their best buying mood. The feedback of the exhibitioners was more than positive", says organizer Angelika Albrecht from the Albrecht GmbH. Good orders caused many visitors to say "...we'll see you next year!

Not only wine of all types and from all wine-growing regions was popular, also culinary treats or chocolate creations were bought or ordered at the fair. FORUM-VINI newbies as well as traditionally the large joint presentations from Austria, Franconia and Portugal were very popular. Also very popular were the products from the young vintagers at the stand "Next Generation". The water-bar from Adelholzener, which was a new service offered to visitors this year, was also very in demand.

There were long lines of people trying to get tickets for the popular seminars. Whether "Tour de France" with Henri Schimpf, "Prime specialties from Franconia and Bavaria" with Professor Klaus Wahl, the seminars about schnapps, fruit liqueur or sherrys with Hubertus Vallendar, Gerald Erdrich and Lorenzo Garcias-Iglesias Soto or interesting information about Portugal and Austria - every visitor found something to his taste.

At the special tasting in cooperation with the magazine WEINWIRTSCHAFT and WEINWELT, 209 wines from autochthonous and regional-typical types could be tasted. For the first time this year, also traders and importers from Germany, who were not exhibitioners at the fair, were allowed to send in their wines, which meant an even broader range of wines for the visitors.

The date for next year's FORUM VINI is already set: 12 - 14 November 2010. The 26 FORUM VINI fair will also have more than enough to please its guests. (aw.yoopress)
