SOUTH AFRICA (Cape Town) - On the occasion of the Cape Wine 2012, the largest wine fair on the southern hemisphere, two large South African wine regions will perform together. At the Cape Wine, which has been organized again after a four year pause, six wine estates from Constantia Valley and ten wine estates from Swartland will present themselves together for the first time; a development that Su Birch, CEO at the Wines of South Africa organization, calls “amazingly interesting”.

The wine estates performing under the Constantia Valley banner are Groot Constantia, Steenberg, Eagles Nest, Buitenverwachting, Klein Constantia and Constantia Glen, the AA Badenhorst Family Wines, Intellego, Lammershoek, Meerhof, Mullineux Family Wines, Nativo, Porseleinberg, Rall Wines, Sequillo Cellars and Wildehurst Winery estates from the Swartland joining the Constantia Valley estates.

“It will be exciting for the visitors to taste and to explore those wine regions as a whole and to discover similarities as well as differences between the wines”, Su Birch states. “Exciting is, too, the regions’ decision to work together and to realize this on their own for the first time at the Cape Wine.”

Over 300 of the leading producers from South Africa will present themselves at the Cape Wine 2012, starting with leading wine estates to Garage Wineries, exhibitors and their wines would reflect the range of South Africa’s wine production, the organizers said.

Besides a comprehensive supporting program containing seminars and conferences about important aspects of the South African wine industry, the “Cape Wine Producers Soapbox” will take place for the first time. There, marketing experts get the chance to present 6 wines from at least three wine estates to a limited audience within as few as 30 minutes. The Cape Wine is opens its doors from 25 to 27 of September at the International Convention Center in Cape Town. (red.yoopress)
