Australia’s wine production at a five-year low

AUSTRALIA (Sydney) - Due to the effects of the wet weather in the growth season 2010/2011, wine production in Australia has reached a five-year low. According to the “Australian Bureau of Agricultural and Resource Economics and Sciences” (ABARES), the yield for 2012 will amount for an estimated 1.53 million tons. Within the last decade, it was only the 2007 yield that was comparably low with 1.41 million tons.
