Enomatic-founder Lorenzo Bencista Falorni had his democratic grand idea in 2002: having as many people tasting as many glasses of wine as possible. Translated this meant a cultural revolution for the wine industry.
„Once you have an idea that you are completely convinced with, as we were back then, you gradually get over all the insecurities and doubts, which is what ultimately brings you the success", explains Lorenco Bencistà Falorni. His numbers prove the latter: 7 million Euro in sales, 5 international patents, 14 Wine System Models, 6000 awards worldwide, 35 million wines served with Enomatic a year, 50 license holders in 70 countries.
Turning this idea into a successful business meant a lot of effort, "endless passion" and investment"...we invested 1.2 million Euro in research alone within the past 4 years" explains Bencistà Falorni.
He continues: „...thanks to Enomatic, top wines can be found on the list of glass-serving wines and more and more people are finding interest in this method". This system has made it a lot easier for customers to purchase wines at stores. Furthermore, it teaches the consumer about taste and selection. "Enomatic believes in wine culture that is quality-conscious and knowledgable" he adds.
All this has made Enomatic and its founders the center of wine technology, so that Lorenzo Bencistà Falorni was named one of the 50 mot influential people in the wine scene by the Decanter in 2011. Also, this January, he was named one of the Hommes de l’Année by the Révue du Vin de France in terms of innovation. Decanter has selected Enomatic as official partner for its Global Tastings of the best wines in the world and Riedel, the historic brand for crystal glasses, has signed a worldwide partnership with them as well.
However, that is not it for success: The "Made in Tuscany" brand is working on an "App" or rather "EnoApp" that will integrate into the Enomatic system in order to deliver all necessary information and tips to the customer in order to better select the wines. This app will also enable customers to leave comments about their degustations and simply order their wines by clicking on the display.
