Publisher Roland Köhler has large ambitions for Vinum as trilingual wine- and lifestyle magazine

SWITZERLAND (St. Gallen) - What began in Zurich more than 25 years ago now has a Swiss flag again: With the takeover of Vinum by the St. Galler KünzlerBachmann Medien AG, after 7 years of effort by the German agriculture publisher in Münster, the Swiss wine magazine now goes back to the Helvetian media landscape again.

For publisher Roland Köhler, the takeover of Europe's largest wine magazine is an obvious commitment to the segment of bilingual special-interest-titles on a high level: "As a wine-lover I have been thinking highly of the quality-journalism of Vinum for almost 20 years. Thus, the magazine has a publisher dimension as well as an emotional one for me. There is almost no other magazine that shows the strength of print media more: the aesthetics of something printed, the display of interesting connections, sensual opulence, haptic charms and consequent targeting of the reader. This is why Vinum is a real asset with its strong name not only for us but also for the whole media scene."

With 10 annual issues, Vinum writes in detail about wine as a culture commodity and is presented in a circulation of more than 85 000 issues in German, French and Spanish. The reports from the journalist offices from Switzerland, Germany/Austria, Spain, Italy and France about wine regions, trips and tastings build an enormous fundus for wine lovers. Now, the magazine belongs to the portfolio of the KünzlerBachmann Medien AG in St. Gallen, which has provided a broad platform of successful print- and online products for decades.
