Wine growing areas will worldwide be reduced by 70 percent by the year 2050

USA (Texas) - According to a latest study, presented by researchers of the University of Texas, wine growing areas will decline by between 25 and 73 percent by the year 2050, depending on the site on the wine regions. This study, published within the framework of the university’s procedures, is the first one to combine the impact of global warming on the environmental matters of country-specific wine growing areas. An increased water supply concerning present sweet water reserves was also considered.
