CHINA (Shanghai) - As early as one year after it was founded, Accolade, the Australian-British wine trading company headquartered in London, is in a position to expand its presence on the Chinese market. To achieve this, it was necessary to purchase a majority shareholding of the Shanghai CWC Wine Trading Company, the Accolade company’s former Chinese cooperation partner and sales company, which is selling exclusively Accolade products in China.

„So far, the CWC has been successful in selling our icon wines in China, among them products from Echo Falls, California, from Banrock Station, Hardys and Leasingham from Australia as well as Kumala, Fisch Hoek and Flagstone from South Africa”, Troy Christensen, CEO of the Accolade company. Freddie Choong, managing director of the Accolade company for Asia, adds: “Responding to the growing wine scene in China, and in view of our sales efforts made to date as well as the Accolade company’s strong commitment, we are very well positioned. Moreover, we are expanding the product range from our top wines to commercial wines.”

The Accolade company with about 1,800 employees worldwide, is the wine trading company with the largest volume in the UK and in Australia. The Accolade company was founded as late as at the beginning of 2011, being a daughter of the US-based Constellation Brands company.
