After extinct 'China Boom' prices for Bordeaux wines are in decline

FRANCE (Bordeaux) – The trading prices for wines from the leading Bordeaux châteaux, among them being Lafite Rothschild, Margaux, Latour, and Haut-Brion, are currently on the lowest level since the Lehman Brothers breakdown in 2008. “The prices for cru, which have been in decline for the past few years, are an example for the change between boom to crisis, which the leading Bordeaux châteaux have to cope with again and again – however, an end of the continuing price decrease is not in sight yet”, James Miles, co-founder of the LIV-EX trading platform, says. “The current price level is like there had never been a Bordeaux wine hype in China.”
