Schneider Wines, with their minimally designed labels and chiseled names such as "Einzelstück", "Ursprung" or "Tohuwabohu", are already an experience before the first sip. The design of the labels can also be found in the likewise chiseled cellars at Schneider´s winery and on his website. Together, these elements form a total work of art, which, for a couple of years now, has been considered as a "state of art" in the young wine scene.
But why was the website relaunched? Like the winemaker himself, his designers consequently take the next step as well. The agency "die medienagenten" from the Pfalz region transformed Markus Schneider´s minimalist, monochrome website into a navigation menu which accommodates new viewing patterns: lucent and intuitive, based on recent touch screen developments.
The developers got rid of the zigzag pattern typical of the traditional tree structure (back and forward, up and down). The submenus history, sites and cellars which are included as sheets of pictures pass the viewer with ease, and the collection is lined up like in a well-assorted specialty store - easy to click on. Efficient navigation elements leave much space for the essential, the product, which is being placed in front of a pure white background.
Such a simple and clear presentation would not imply that the latest programming technology has been used. However, anybody who enjoys the wines of Markus Schneider should not have to think about the complex and hard work which it takes to create them. He stands for himself and convinces - And the new website is his stage. (aw.yoopress)
