AUSTRIA (Vienna) - The 3rd European Wine Bloggers Conference (EWBC) will be held between October 22nd and 24th in Vienna, Austria, which will be the first time that the event will take place outside of the Iberian Peninsula. Between 150 and 200 international wine bloggers, those are wine journalists writing mainly blogs for the internet, or their personal wine blogs, are expected to join the program which lasts for several days and whose organization is still in progress.

The conference already took place in Barcelona and Lisbon in the last two years, which proved to be highly successful. Organizers of the EWBC are Catavino Marketing, Gabriella and Ryan Opaz of Catavino.net, and Robert McIntosh of The Wine Conversation.

Due to the strong commitment of the Austrian Wine Marketing Board (ÖWM), also the event’s main sponsor, this internationally recognized conference is able to be hosted in Vienna. “By hosting the EWBC in Vienna, we will demonstrate the dynamic of our wine country yet again,” said an enthusiastic Willi Klinger, president of the Austrian Wine Marketing Board.
