Spicy, as Würtz's name implies, the wine maker prospects the possible liberalization of the European wine market

GERMANY (Gau-Odernheim) - We already approached the topic of the EU wine market reform in a recent interview with the blogger and wine maker from the wine location Gau-Odernheim in Rhine Hesse, "Dirk Würtz - wine maker and visionary. In this interview, Würtz gave us a pretty good idea about his estimates and visions. Now he has substantiated his ideas in an article on his blog with the title "Future of the German Wine".

In his blog entry, Würtz describes the renaissance of the German wine in the two last decades of the 20th century until today and comes to the conclusion that prices and demand, sorts and variety, traditional and ecological cultivation and extension had stabilized on a reasonable and successful level.

Nevertheless, Würtz does not lose his critical look in terms of the problematics of the German wine economy, particularly in winemaking and its marketing. According to him, the current recession and the accidental EU wine market reform are further offering exceptional, yes, even huge chances for wine makers in the national as well as international competition.

In his blog entry "Future of the German Wine", Würtz warns his vintager colleagues to be moderate and concentrate on what is important, as well as intelligently recognize the liberalization of the market. (aw.yoopress)
