UK (London) - In times of draconic saving programes, even the British parliament's wine celler won't be spared. The Labor party's PM, Tom Watson, suggested selling the best wines of the collection. Among the approximately 38.000 bottles worth about 864.000 pounds (about one million euro) is a Château Petrus 1978 worth more than 2500 pounds (2900 euro), a im Wert von mehr als 2500 Pfund (2900 Euro), a Château Latour 1955 worth 1000 pounds and a Château Palmer 1975 for about 120 pounds.
"While the economy is heading more and more towards recession, nobody will really believe that we all sit in the same boat, particularly when members of the British parliament think about selling wines for 200 pounds", says the PM. It took Watson 13 months to finally list all of the bottles in the wine cellar. (red.yoopress)
