The rapidly growing Chinese wine market needed urgent wine consultant and sommelier

FRANCE (Sauternes) - Château La Tour Blanche wine school in Sauternes is engaging in a partnership with a Chinese college to bring together interested viticulture students. For six months, students will learn the basics of viticulture in Beijing as well as get familiar with wine glossary in English and French. Afterwards, there will be exams and then the students will travel to France to study there for one year and put their knowledge to the test.

"We will present the whole wine world to our students, but we will mainly focus on French wines", says Didier Frechinet at La Tour Blanche. "It is our goal to provide our Chinese students with a deep wine knowledge, which is desperately needed in the fast-paced Chinese wine market".

Wine experts will act as teachers as well as sommeliers who mainly work in restaurants, including businessmen and oenologists. The professor team will also include teachers from the French wine school Château La Tour Blanche. This project proves once again that France knows how to permanently strengthen the relationships with a developing country in terms of wine. (red.yoopress)
