Dry wines still popular in Germany

GERMANY (Mainz) - Germans increasingly prefer dry wines. Since 2000, the number of dry quality and Prädikat wines increased from 34 to 41 percent. Semi-dry wines were also slightly more popular with an increase from 21 to 23 percent. These numbers stem from a wine quality testing study, initiated by the German Wine Institute, that tested wines from 13 German growing regions.
